A 2-part epoxy coating kit
Garage floor cleaning solution

Pressure washer
A high-quality putty knife

Step 1: Pressure Wash the Garage Floor
The first step is all about preparation and is the most important step to follow for long term durability Use a pressure washer with a heavy-duty floor cleaning solution to thoroughly clean your garage floor. Be sure to follow the instructions on the back of the solution. This will remove dirt, grease, and grime, giving you a clean slate for the epoxy to stick to.
Step 2: Scrub and Clean
Once the floor dries, go back over it with a scrub brush and more cleaning solution. This ensures no residue or hidden contaminants are left behind. The cleaner your floor, the better the epoxy will adhere.
Step 3: Fill Any Cracks
Next, grab a high-quality putty knife and use cement filler to repair any cracks or imperfections in the floor. This step is key to creating a smooth, even surface for your coating.
Step 4: Mix the 2-Part Epoxy
Now it’s time to prep the star of the show: the epoxy! Follow the instructions on your kit to mix the two components thoroughly. Use a mixing container and stick, and make sure to wear your safety gear for this part.
